Service history and logging

Log a service in under 30 seconds with its receipt, mileage, shop and cost, and keep a history a buyer can trust.

Every service you log, with its receipt and mileage, becomes part of the vehicle's story. Proof, not promises: a history backed by receipts is one a buyer trusts.

Log a service

Tap Log service on the vehicle, from the Garage, or from a Done swipe on the Due tab.

  1. Date: today, unless you change it.
  2. Mileage: starts at the last reading. Change it to what the receipt says.
  3. What was done: tap the chips, like Oil change, Tires or Brakes, and add your own words if you like.
  4. Shop: your recent shops come first. "Did it myself" works too.
  5. Cost.
  6. Receipt: tap Scan receipt, or choose a photo.
  7. Tap Log it.

You'll see "Logged for the Outback."

Receipts

When you scan a receipt, Carlore reads it on your phone and proposes the date, the total and the shop. Check them, then confirm. Nothing is uploaded to read it. An entry with a receipt is marked receipt-backed.

Mileage and tasks

  • If the mileage you log is higher than the last reading, Carlore updates the odometer.
  • If a task matches what you did, like an oil change, you'll see "Also mark Oil change done" with when the next one comes due. Leave it on, and the task starts counting again from today. See Due and tasks.

Privacy

Service entries are Household by default, so a household member can see them. The cost is Owner only, and stays out of handovers unless you choose to include it. See Privacy levels.

Your service history

Open Service history from the vehicle and tap See all. Each year starts with a summary line, like "$1,214 · 6 entries", then the entries, newest first: the date, mileage, what was done, the shop, the cost and a receipt thumbnail. A count like "14 of 17 receipt-backed" shows how much of the history has proof.

Tap the chips at the top to see only oil changes, tires, brakes, repairs or inspections.

Change or delete an entry

Tap an entry to change anything in it. To delete it, tap Delete entry. Carlore asks "Delete this entry? The receipt photo is removed too."

Export

Tap Export on the service history to make a PDF to print or share, or a CSV to open in a spreadsheet. Exports are made on your phone, and your phone's share sheet lets you choose where they go. Exported files aren't encrypted, so keep them somewhere private.

When there's nothing yet

You'll see "No service logged yet. Start with the last oil change." The sticker on the windshield or the last receipt in the glovebox is a good place to begin.
