The Glovebox
Your roadside card works offline and from the lock screen, with the insurance card, who to call and what to photograph after an accident.
The Glovebox is your roadside card. It's for the moment that matters most, so it works with no signal and no sign-in, and it never records that you opened it.
At the top: "If something happens: pull over, stay safe, then photograph."
What's on the card
Choose the vehicle with the chips at the top. Then:
- Insurance: a copy of the card, the insurer, the policy number and the claims phone. Tap Open card to show it full screen.
- This vehicle: the plate, the color and the VIN.
- What to photograph: the other car's plate, both licenses and insurance cards, damage on both cars, close and wide, and the scene, signs and signals.
- Who to call: roadside assistance, your insurer's claims line and a trusted person. Tap a number to call it.
- Roadside notes: where the jack and spare are, the tow eye, how to put the car in neutral.
Choose what shows
The Glovebox shows only what you chose for it. On a paper or the vehicle screen, turn on Show in Glovebox. The insurance card is the one most people add first.
Share my details
After a bump, tap Share my details to make an image with your name, plate, insurer and policy number, and nothing else. Send it through your phone's share sheet, or show it on screen.
Straight to the card
You can open the Glovebox in one step, without opening the rest of Carlore, even with app lock on. Only the fields you marked for the Glovebox show there.
On iPhone:
- Add the Glovebox widget to your Lock Screen. Tap it to open the card. Widgets are part of Plus.
- Or use the Glovebox App Shortcut from Spotlight, Siri or the Shortcuts app.
On Android:
- Touch and hold the Carlore icon and choose Glovebox. Drag it onto your home screen to keep it there.
- You can also open it from the action on a Carlore notification.
See Notifications and widgets for how to add them.
Free for everyone
The Glovebox is part of Carlore Free, for every vehicle you keep.
When it's empty
You'll see "Add the insurance card and who to call. You'll be glad it's here." Tap Add insurance card.
