Parts and modifications

Keep every part, accessory and modification with its details, receipts and manuals, so the car's story travels with it.

Shocks you chose, a roof box, a lift, a new head unit: the parts you add and the changes you make are part of the car's story. Carlore keeps them with the vehicle, with their details, receipts and manuals.

Add a part or mod

Open the vehicle, tap Parts and mods, then Add a part or mod. Pick what it is:

  • Part: something fitted in place of, or in addition to, what the car came with.
  • Accessory: something attached, like a roof box or floor liners.
  • Modification: a change to how the car is built or behaves, like a lift or a tune.

Fill in what you know: the name, brand and part number, where it is on the car, when it was installed and at what mileage, who installed it, the cost, and the warranty. Scan the receipt and Carlore reads the date, total and shop for you. Add photos; for a modification, a before and an after.

When you log a service, you can add the part from the same sheet with Also add a part. The entry and the part stay linked.

Modification details

A modification has a few more facts: what it changes, whether it's reversible, and what it affects, such as the warranty, insurance, inspection, tow rating or emissions. These show in the handover so a buyer knows.

Add a Note for borrowers when someone driving the car should know, like "Lifted, mind the clearance." That note is the only part of a modification that goes into a borrower guide.

Manuals for a part

On a part, tap Look for the manual. Carlore opens a web search for the brand and part number in your browser, labelled so you know it's the web. When you find the installation guide or the manual, share it to Carlore and it's kept with the part. You can also add a PDF or photos with Add your own.

Removed parts

When a part comes off the car, tap Mark as removed. It stays in your history under the Removed filter, with its receipts and photos.

What leaves your phone

Parts and modifications are Transferable unless you change their privacy level, so a handover package lists them with their receipts. The cost and the serial number stay with you, in every package and guide. A part without a receipt shows as a gap in the handover readiness, so you know what a buyer might ask about.
